Alvin Bowers passed away October 3, 2017 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on November 30, 1931 in Greeneville, Tennessee to Alvin and Maggie (Hamilton) Bowers. Alvin honorably served our nation for 22 years where upon he retired from active duty.He is survived by his wife, Marietta (Mae)Bowers, of the family home in Alamogordo, New Mexico; his two sons, Alvin Bowers, Jr. and fiance, Codi Auld of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Calvin Bowers of Alamogordo, New Mexico; his daughter, Kristine Stevens and husband, Tyler Stevens of Alamogordo, New Mexico. He is also survived by his brother, Arlin Bowers of Greeneville, Tennessee with his life partner and children. Lastly, he is also survived by his many grandchildren to include Rylie Mae Bowers and Madeleine Nicole Stevens. Also his grandchildren in the Philippines and his step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial service celebrating his life will take place Monday, October 16, 2017 at 10 AM at the Worship Center on the corner of 10th and Florida with Pastor Dave Crispin officiating.
