Alma Ruth Froese, 63, of Ochelata, died at 5:37 P.M. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.Memorial services will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Ochelata Holiness Church with Pastor Jim Page of the Catoosa Hills Christian Church officiating. Following services in Ochelata, interment will be at the Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery in Inola on Tuesday afternoon. Memorial services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Caney Valley Elementary School, Ochelata, Oklahoma, 74051.Alma Ruth Froese was born on September 7, 1953 at Claremore, Oklahoma the daughter of Bernhard and Alice (Loewen) Froese. She grew up and received her education in Inola, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school in 1971. She attended Rogers State University and then completed her Bachelor of Education degree at Northeastern State University at Tahlequah. Following her college graduation, she taught at the Caney Valley Elementary School in Ochelata for 36 years until her retirement. She loved cats, loved to read, go to movies and out to eat. She was a member of the Eden Mennonite Church at Inola and in recent years had attended the Ramona Friends Church.Alma Ruth is survived by two sisters, Alice Ingram and husband Lonnie of Ochelata and Bernadine Bixler of Raytown, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Robin Froese of Broken Arrow, eight nieces and nephews, Robert Bixler, Julie Spencer, Ryan Bixler, Sean Ingram, Stanton Ingram, Stacy Corder, Clayton Froese and Sharon Froese and eight great nieces and nephews.
