Comber, Allen E.Allen Edward Comber, age 78, of Hortonville, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton, following complications from a heart attack. Allen was born on October 28, 1938 to the late Edward and Jean (Wozniak) Comber in Chicago, IL. Allen was united in marriage to Narcissa Woscinski on June 24, 1961 in Chicago. He worked at George Banta Corporation for 28 years, retiring in 2003. Allen was a huge sports enthusiast and Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Black Hawks fan. He was extremely happy to see the Cubs win the 2016 World Series. Allen was a history buff and enjoyed reading about WWII. He also liked going to plays and watching his grandchildren play sports. Allen enjoyed volunteering through BRAVO at Grandpa's Grill in the summer and as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army at Christmas time.Allen is survived by his wife, Nari; daughter, Lisa Comber, Hortonville; son, David (Tammy) Comber, Verona; 3 grandchildren, Zachary Knackstedt (Kathryn Gaffney), Michael Comber and Jaclyn Comber and sister, Connie Rodriguez, California. He is further survived by a niece, many nephews, as well as 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Comber; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Matt and Aurelia Wozcinski and brother-in-law, John Rodriguez.A memorial Mass for Allen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, staff and Chaplain Jordan at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton for their compassionate care of Allen. We would also like to thank Father Falk for giving the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and praying with Allen and the family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , LEAVEN, St. Joseph's Indian School - Chamberlain SD, or a .
