Alice T. Desrosiers (Fiano), 91, of Oviedo, Florida, passed peacefully on Monday, July 06, 2020.  She will always be remembered for her spunk, love of dancing, and infectious personality.

Alice was born on June 24, 1929, in New Bedford, Massachusetts.  She lived in New Bedford and Acushnet, Massachusetts for most of her life.  She later moved to Oviedo, Florida with her daughter and family where she resided until her death.

Alice was the loving wife of the late George Desrosiers and daughter of the late Luigi and Florida Fiano (Lagasse).  She was the sister of the late Violet Fiano, Andre Fiano, Irene Beaulieu, Normand Fiano, Leo Fiano, Raymond Fiano, Jeanette Cofer, Juliette Lavoie, Pauline Fiano, and Donald Fiano.

Her survivors include son George Desrosiers and wife Lisbeth Frey of Venice, FL; daughter Teresa Desrosiers and husand Leo Desrosiers of Oviedo, FL; step-son Dennis Desrosiers of Lakeville, MA; late step-son William Desrosiers and wife Jacqueline of Las Vegas, NV; five grand-children: Jocelyn LeStourgeon (Desrosiers), Katelyn Ferry (Desrosiers); Andrew Desrosiers; Alex Desrosiers; and Kevin Desrosiers; and seven great-grandchildren: Caleb Desrosiers, Isabella Hill, Noah LeStourgeon, Melody Desrosiers, Julian Desrosiers, Adrienne Ferry, and Piper Desrosiers. 

Alice, also known to those who knew and loved her as Memere, Miss America, or Cinnamon was always the life of the party. She loved to play bingo, watch her gameshows, and hang around the house with one of her many grandchildren and “adopted” grandchildren.  Get her going, and her laugh was as uncontrollable as it was contagious. She was the queen of one-liners, some of which should not be repeated but which always elicited a laugh and made her memorable even to those who only encountered her once.  When asked how she was feeling, “with my hands,” she would reply.  Give her a compliment and you “must be looking for a quarter” — or a “dollar” later in life.  One can only assume she adjusted for inflation.  That spunky, sassy attitude and uncontrollable laugh is what most will remember her for — and she would have it no other way.  

Her life will be celebrated by private service to be updated at a later date.
