Alfred O. Clark85, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Alfred was born on February 23, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late Alfred I. and Julia M. Clark. He was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School and attended Purdue University. Alfred was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War.Alfred worked in the engineering department of the Truck and Bus Division of General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1992. After retirement, he worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum for 6 years and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for over 22 years. He was a lifetime member of First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church.Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan - Broad Ripple, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow with military rites at Washington Park East Cemetery.Alfred is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet; daughters, Shelley A. (husband, Chris) Naum and Sandra L. (husband, Steven) Holubik; grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison and Nicholas Naum, Maddison and Carley Holubik.
