Albert "Ray" Johnson, 70, of Montrose, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose. His wife of 49 years, Donna E. (Bunnell) Johnson, survives.He was born on March 17, 1943, in Binghamton, N.Y., to the late Lewis Raymond, and Rachel Josephine (Benedict) Johnson. Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Ray and Barbara Johnson, Montrose; daughter and son-in-law, Julie R. and Terry Garrison, Tunkhannock; four grandchildren, Dustin R., Melinda R. and Briana L. Johnson, Paige N. (Anthony) Huscha; two great grandchildren, Landon James Johnson, Nevin Robert Huscha; brother, Franklin J. Johnson, Friendsville; two sisters, Dorothy L. Sperry, Fla., Linda J. Collins, Friendsville; brother-in-law, Smokey Ellis, Friendsville; sister-in-law, Betty Johnson, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His sister, Arlene Ellis; half-sister, Joann Andrie; and half-brother, Robert E. Johnson, predeceased him.Ray served in the
U.S. Marine Corps, and retired from P & G, after 24 years. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his many friends and family. His dog, "Margo", was his constant companion. A visitation will be held from 6:30 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home.
