Albert D. Haney, age 71, a lifelong resident of Oscoda, died on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1940 to the late Albert and Myrtle Haney (nee Cox). Albert was a 1959 graduate of Oscoda High School and later served in the United States Army. He worked for nearly 50 years as an electrician and was the owner/operator of Al's Electric in Oscoda. Albert enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Renee, whom he married on Sept. 29, 1984 in Greenbush; son, A. Tyler (Mandy) Haney of Oscoda; daughter, Danielle Haney of Oscoda; sister, Beverly Kerth of Washington; sister, Katherine (Terry) Priest of Lansing; granddaughter, Aubrey; nephew, Eric; niece, Samantha; and three cousins, Joan Spanke, Nancy Clay and Gail Marling. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
