PALATINE - Anthony James Markese was born on October 30, 1976 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois to Mark Markese and Linda (nee Higley). He died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Tony participated in the Clearbrook/PAL Program (Partners in Adult Learning) and was active in NWSRA (Northwest Special Recreation Association). He was an avid car fan who loved fast and classic cars, movies, and WWE wrestling. Tony collected die-cast cars, he had close to 150, and lovingly served as a lobby host at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. Anthony is survived by his mother, Linda J. (John) Russell, his father, Mark L (Susan) Markese; his siblings John (Velislava) Markese, Lucas (Laura) Weigle, James (Ivette) Weigle, Nick (Jennifer) Markese and Matthew Markese; his grandparents, James E. and Kimiyo Higley, and James A. Markese; aunts, Carol L. Higley, Shirley J. (Brian) Colona and Amy Higley, his uncles Anthony James (Kristen Hawkins) and Mitchell S. Markese; his adored nieces and nephews; Cesar Angel Rivera-Weigle, Alina Kimiyo Weigle, Jackson Chase Weigle, Damian Eve Weigle and Elizabeth Rose Markese. Tony also leaves many friends who have enriched his life with activities and a lot of love and care. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Corrine I. Schroeder and uncle, Daniel L. Higley. Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, Illinois.
