Anna Garbowski, 89, passed away on July 20, 2017 at her home in Plant City, FL. She was born on January 2, 1928 in Plan-Rotmuehle, Czechoslovakia to Franz and Anna Benedikt. After marrying her husband Albert in 1956, she moved to the United States and became a very proud American citizen. Her passions were her family, snow skiing, swimming, and reading, but above all else her faith dictated how she lived her life. Anna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Marty Clay, her grandchildren, Kellie Anne and Riley Meek and Christopher Clay and her great grandsons, Emerson and Eames Meek. Her family brought so much joy to her life and they will miss her presence. Anna was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church, 104 N. Alexander St., Plant City, Florida 33563 on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00am. Committal Service will take place at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, Fort Bliss, Texas on Friday, July 28th at 10:00 am. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
