It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Barnes, who was born on March 8, 1959, in Suffolk, Virginia. Robin passed away on April 7, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Robin was a beloved member of the community, known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering optimism. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be greatly missed by family, friends, and colleagues.

Robin was a devoted friend, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted friend and caretaker, Finton Hearsly. She had four children whom she loves deeply, Shenique Jones (Antoine Jones), Mia Barnes (Deceased), Mario Barnes, Niahah Barnes and five cherished grandchildren Antionne Brown, Jr. (Kareena Brown), Christopher-Zhiyon Frazier, Rah'Mon Hall, Mario Barnes, Jr., and Nemah Deloatch, with one beloved great grandson Antionne Brown, III. She also leaves behind three brothers, Tony Williams, Calvin Barnes, and Darnell Barnes. She will join her brother Danny Williams and sisters Susan & Sharleene Boone in heaven. Robin's family was her pride and joy, and she always loved talking to her family.

Robin's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who loved her, but her memory will live on in the stories and moments shared with her throughout the years. She will be remembered for her no non-sense attitude, her wittiness, and her unwavering love for her family.

Robin was also known for her love of clothing. She enjoyed spending time on her front porch, tending to her many plants, and watching rainbows and butterflies. She found peace and solace in nature and taught her family to appreciate the beauty of the world around them.

Robin's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
