Melvin Stephens, born on January 27, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, United States, passed away on March 1, 2024. He was the beloved son of Mike Stephens and Rose Stephens, and the loving brother of Marcia Ellis. Melvin is survived by his two children, Latreveate Stephens and Chase Stephens.

Melvin attended Proviso East High School and graduated in 1989. He went on to work at Delta Airlines and retired in 2020 after a long and successful career.

Throughout his life, Melvin had a variety of hobbies and interests. He was a talented DJ, wowing crowds with his music selections. Melvin was also a skilled poet, author, scholar, and historian, with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others.

Melvin will be remembered for his kind heart, his passion for his interests, and his dedication to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
