On March 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, Betty peacefully passed away in Louisa, VA. She is survived by her children Tony Johnson and his wife Tiffany, Trent Johnson and his wife Christina, her 8 grandchildren - Gabby, Jason, Kelly, Kate, Gertrude, Carter, Lewis, and Hannah, and her 3 great-grandchildren - Buddy, Dina, and Lizzie.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Scott T. Johnson, all her siblings, and a special friend she cherished, Maggie Coller. Betty and Scott were married on June 14, 1948, and shared 64 beautiful years together before his passing. Their love was a beacon of light for their family and friends, an example of commitment and devotion that will endure through the ages.

Throughout her life, Betty worked tirelessly to provide for her family, holding various jobs as a mail person, secretary, and grocer despite facing financial hardships. She approached each day with unwavering strength and determination, always putting her family's needs above her own.

A woman of remarkable kindness and grace, Betty was known for her unconditional love and compassion. She treated everyone she encountered as family, offering a listening ear, a warm embrace, and endless support. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.
